I guess it’s pretty obvious I’m back when there’s a complete lack of updates!

Truth is, I haven’t been too busy. I just have been doing little things, running errands, meeting friends and days just pass so quickly when you have a long to do list to complete!!

One of the first things I did: catch up with friends at Mad for Garlic, this Korean Italian restaurant in Suntec City. It’s my second time there and I like it mostly, especially the Garlic Snowing Pizza but I’m not a big fan of spicy good so the rest of the dishes weren’t must-tries for me. My friends loved it though!

Four fingers chicken at ion, for some reason I feel it wasn’t as good as the first time I had it. The soy garlic was a bit too salty for me.

Maybe it’s me though. I haven’t been very comfortable with all the flavourful food I can get everyday in SG! It’s like eating foie gras or truffle everyday.

Speaking of foie gras, I finally tried Paradise Dynasty (I think?) at Ion which serves the 8 coloured xiao long baos:

I thought it was all right only. There was a strange taste to the xlb. A whiff of something unfamiliar on the first bite. In all honesty, I prefer din tai fung’s for the familiarity but it was worth the novelty. I think YH will like the Szechuan one. The rest were: cheese, truffle, foie gras, normal, ginseng, garlic, and roe. Only $13.80 for 8! We also ordered 10 foie gras xlbs for my brothers but between the 3 of us we only had 6. It was too overwhelming.

Something sweet to end the post: waffle with mao shan wang durian ice cream from Udders. I don’t like the waffle, it’s way too floury for me. I like my waffles with a firm crispy texture. The msw ice cream is as flavourful as frozen durian as usual. Love it.
